A New York woman allegedly played a role in an international smuggling conspiracy that brought three Indian and one Canadian national illegally into the United States through the U.S. Canada border, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a release.
U.S. Border Patrol intercepted the woman’s vehicle in Churubusco, New York, around 107 km south of Montreal, in the early morning on Jan. 20, according to court records. Upon stopping the vehicle, U.S. Border Patrol officers said they found four foreign nationals inside, who had crossed the border without inspection.
Stacey Taylor, 42, of Plattsburgh, New York, has been accused in the “alien smuggling conspiracy.”
