A norovirus outbreak has swept through a luxury cruise ship leaving over one hundred people stricken by the ‘vomiting bug’.

Passengers on the AIDAdiva liner face their seventh day of the virus, first reported to health authorities on November 30.

Some 95 out of 2,007 passengers and six staff members are affected.

The infected are isolating in their cabins while cleaners disinfect the ship in a desperate bid to stem the spread.

Passengers, who are less than one month into a 133-day tour, disembarked from Hamburg, Germany on November 10.

The once-in-a-lifetime experience has taken them from the rocky shores of Weymouth, UK, across the Atlantic to North America and down through Latin America.
