EPHRATA, Pa. — Children in Lancaster County who are experiencing trauma, homelessness, foster care and hospital stays can get a warm, handmade blanket from a “Blanketeer” of Project Linus.

The Blanketeers are volunteers ranging in age 6 to 90 who crochet, knit and sew their care into blankets. Anne Muldoon, the local chapter coordinator, arranges the logistics to get the “hugs,” as the blankets are called, to agencies distributing them to the children.
