The National Park Service recently announced a major change to its free entry days for U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Starting in 2026, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth will no longer be recognized as free admission days.

This information was shared on the agency’s website this week.

However, a new date has been added to the list of free entry days: June 14, which is both Flag Day and President Trump’s birthday . Under the Biden administration, both Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth were designated as free days for all visitors.

The updated list of free days at the National Park Service is as follows:

February 16: Presidents Day (Washington’s Birthday)

May 25: Memorial Day

June 14: Flag Day/President Trump’s birthday

July 3–5: Independence Day weeken
