Punishments could be handed down because of a scuffle following the high school football state championship game Dec. 5 between Belton-Honea Path and Oceanside Collegiate, according to a SCHSL spokesperson.
Postgame handshakes turned into chaos following a 28-7 win by Oceanside Collegiate in the Class 3A game at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium in Orangeburg, and players had to be separated by coaches and teammates.
