GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — December at the Vormittag Tree Farm looks a little like Santa's Workshop.
When they're closed, John and Brenda Vormittag make wreaths in their 120-year-old barn. But when they're open, their focus shifts to Christmas trees.
"We're off to a good start so far," said John. "We've had good weather, people seem to like the snow, it gets everyone in the spirit."
According to Brenda, they'll stay busy up until the big day, adding they're no stranger to selling trees on Christmas Day.
"Some are waiting for family members to come in from different areas," said Brenda. "Some are overseas, even that come in from the military, and we've served them on Christmas Eve day or the day before Christmas Eve."
Even on the 26th, John said they will still have work to do.
