An apartment in Rocky Hill was evacuated this morning as police were investigating a barricaded person, officials said .

Officers responded to the area of 100 West St., Forrest Park Apartments, on a 911 call that was received around 8 a.m. on Saturday. Police said the caller said there was a domestic dispute inside one of the apartments. Upon arrival, police said it was determined that one person remained inside of the apartment and failed to comply with police when instructed to exit the building.

Police said in a Facebook post that a suspect has been safely taken into custody. No additional information has been released.

The Capital Region Emergency Response Team was activated and responded to the scene.
