Former UEFA president and French football legend Michel Platini has confessed that the draw for the 1998 World Cup was rigged. Platini revealed that organisers engineered the draw to create the possibility of a dream final between two footballing giants.
With the World Cup in North America fast approaching, all qualified nations discovered their group stage opponents when the draw took place in Washington DC on Friday.
