Yariel Rodriguez was caught up in the Toronto Blue Jays‘ roster shuffle.

Toronto outrighted the right-handed reliever from its 40-man roster on Saturday, sources confirm to Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith and Shi Davidi.

Rodriguez remains in the Blue Jays organization, and barring a change, is set to arrive at spring training and compete for a job on the big-league club, Nicholson-Smith added.

Francys Romero was first to report that Rodriguez was coming off the roster.

Rodriguez was solid out of the bullpen for the Blue Jays in 2025 — his second season with the team.

The 28-year-old posted 1.4 WAR, a 3.08 ERA, 66 strikeouts and 34 walks over 73.0 innings of regular-season work last season.

However, his numbers dropped significantly in the post-season, as he finished with a 10.13 ERA
