Authorities in Louisiana have recaptured one of the three inmates who escaped from the St. Landry Parish Jail earlier this week. Jonathan Joseph , 24, was taken into custody without incident. Joseph, from Opelousas, faces several charges, including principal to first-degree rape and involvement in a recent drive-by shooting.

The escape occurred on Wednesday (December 3) when three inmates broke out of the jail by removing pieces of a degrading wall and using sheets to scale the outer wall. Joseph Harrington , another escapee, died by suicide after being located by police. The third inmate, Keith Eli , 24, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Eli is charged with attempted second-degree murder.
