SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Just before 1:00 p.m. Saturday, the Sevierville Police Department received a call stating that there were three bombs at the Walmart on the Parkway in Sevierville.
Out of an abundance of caution, SPD evacuated the building and searched with multiple law enforcement personnel from several area agencies.
No suspicious devices were found, and the building was reopened around 4:10 p.m. There is no longer an active threat, according to SPD.
SPD said they would like to thank surrounding local agencies for their assistance in securing and searching the building by providing officers, K9s, bomb technicians and other resources.
