Michigan football is set to lose one of its veteran coaching hands in the offensive line room.
Juan Castillo, the Wolverines’ senior assistant offensive line coach in 2025, is finalizing a deal to become the next offensive line coach at Syracuse, according to a Saturday afternoon report from ESPN .
Last week, veteran offensive line coach Dale Williams was one of four assistant coaches let go by Syracuse.
Castillo, 66, is a veteran offensive line coach with extensive NFL experience. He came to Michigan to help 28-year-old offensive line coach Grant Newsome build up a young, inexperienced unit, a job that paid him an annual base salary of $45,000.
