Woman injured after gunman opens fire on Greater Manchester street

A woman was injured in a shooting on a residential street in Salford

It happened on Wally Square in the Higher Broughton area at around 6:50pm on Thursday evening (December 4)

Police believe two men arrived on the street on an electric bike and that one of them 'walked up to a property before discharging a firearm'

Emergency services attended the scene and a cordon was put in place

The woman in her 20s suffered an injury described by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) as 'minor.' Exactly how she sustained it is still under investigation
