INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana's first test against a ranked opponent under coach Darian DeVries provided a reminder of the magnitude of the rebuild DeVries will have to execute before the Hoosiers are back among the nation's elite teams.
No. 6 Louisville scored the game's first 16 points at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, held the No. 22 Hoosiers without a basket for more than six minutes and never led by fewer than seven in the final 28 minutes on the way to a 87-78 victory in front of an announced crowd of 18,777 on Saturday.
It was the second loss in a row for Indiana after a 7-0 start and will likely bounce DeVries' team from the AP Poll after two weeks in the rankings.
Tucker DeVries led the Hoosiers with 26 points on 5-for-14 shooting and added five rebounds. Lamar Wilkerson chipped in 12 points
