Cinnabon has fired an employee at its Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin location following a viral video showing the worker harassing a Somali couple with racist remarks and slurs.
The company released a statement on X on Saturday saying the employee was immediately terminated by the franchise owner and that their actions "do not reflect our values or the welcoming experience every guest deserves."
The incident occurred when a Somali couple entered the bakery to purchase food. According to reports, the employee began mocking the woman's hijab, prompting the couple to record the encounter. In the video, the worker is heard saying the n-word, admitted to being racist, and continued making derogatory comments.
