SANTA ANA – Four adults and a 15-year-old juvenile have been arrested in the Sept. 8, gang-related shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Santa Ana and the wounding of three other children, authorities said.

Officers dispatched at about 8:20 p.m. that night to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of South Susan Street. They located the 13-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Three additional juveniles, ages 14, 15, 16, were also found to have sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the incident,” according to a police statement. “All three victims were transported to local hospitals and listed as stable.”
