NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks are headed to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals for the first time since 2009 following a 41-34 win over Abilene Christian on Saturday.
A late-game interception helped seal the victory for the Lumberjacks.
SFA quarterback Sam Vidlak completed 25 of 36 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns. Jerrell Wimbley rushed 18 times for 52 yards and scored twice. Kylon Harris set a program postseason record with 183 yards receiving on 11 catches and one touchdown. Defensively, Charles Demmings intercepted an ACU pass, while Aaron Austin and Ky Thomas (Elkhart) each recorded a sack.
