AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The city of Aiken held its 55th annual Christmas craft show this weekend.

People could visit the Odell Weeks Activities Center to find local crafters and find the perfect gift for their loved ones.

We spoke with one local business about the effect the event has on them.

Richmond County deputy honored with life vest station after river rescue

A sergeant who saved two people from drowning in the Savannah River was honored with a life jacket loaner station bearing his name.

“Exposure is the key. I’m sure a lot of people go on Facebook, Instagram. TikTok or whatever. But just me personally, I love going to the events, meeting new people, meeting other vendors, and they tell you about other events that’re going on around and things like that,” said Shannon Hammond
