HOUNSFELD, New York (WWNY) - Old McDonald’s Farm held their annual “Christmas on the Farm” event Saturday for the eighth year in a row.
The event brought holiday staples to the public like hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, a chat with Santa, Elsa, Olaf, and Anna, and a short walk that gives a look at the farm’s winter home for the animals.
Old McDonald’s Farm’s General Manager Julia Ledoux said Saturday she saw plenty of new faces and repeat visitors from previous years who make it a tradition to come out.
Admission for the event was ten dollars which goes towards animal care expenses and staff expenses that help the animals get continued support through the winter.
“We’re not open during the winter at all and their feed costs and hay of course- and vet bills are still expensive,” said
