Montgomery police are investigating a “shooting incident” at Eastdale Mall, authorities said Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene after reports of shots fired, but no injuries or property damage had been reported by 4:40 p.m. on Dec. 6, stated a post on MPD's Facebook page. The preliminary investigation shows that the incident stemmed from an altercation between juveniles, the statement said.
“The Montgomery Police Department is actively investigating this case and will continue working diligently to identify and hold all parties involved accountable for their actions,” the statement states.
Eastdale Mall manager Brian Smith earlier said that no evidence of a shooting had been found.
