The holiday season is a time of joy, family gatherings, and celebration — but it also can be overwhelming for many children and their families. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, I often see kids who feel anxious, tired, irritable, or simply overloaded by all the changes and activity. Parents and caregivers also feel stressed trying to juggle schedules, family expectations, and their child’s emotional needs. These reactions are normal, as both children and families adjust to the busyness and excitement of the season.
