We've been keeping a close eye on a developing clipper system, and it looks like it will bring a significant change to our weather pattern here in Northeast Illinois. For tonight into Sunday morning, we're expecting a swath of snow to move through the area. We've even issued a Winter Weather Advisory for a portion of northern Illinois, anticipating snow totals in the 3 to 5-inch range, especially north of I-80. Further south, near I-80 and eastward into parts of northwest Indiana, conditions could turn into a wintry mix, with a chance of freezing rain impacting roadways, which we will be monitoring closely.
As we transition to Sunday night and Monday morning, there's a possibility for some light snow to develop, particularly in northwest Indiana and northeast Illinois, as drier air filter
