Through the first month of the season, Alabama has played one of the most difficult schedules in the country.
The Crimson Tide have played eight games, half against teams ranked in the top 15. Alabama (6-2), with two wins against those teams, also has played two foes that made the NCAA Tournament last season -- Maryland and Clemson.
Before Alabama adds another marquee opponent to its schedule next week against No. 2 Arizona, the Crimson Tide will face UTSA (4-4) in a Sunday matinee in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
"Obviously, they play one of the fastest tempos in the country," UTSA coach Austin Claunch said. "They have a ton of talent, and it starts from their point guard position, but they have a lot of guys that can score the ball. They're just a really good team."
