A man was found fatally stabbed inside a residence in the city’s West Loop, according to Chicago police.

The victim, 56, was found unresponsive with multiple stab wounds to his chest inside the home in the 700 block of West Jackson Boulevard just after 1 p.m., police said.

The man, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene and the case was assigned to Belmont Area detectives, according to police.

No arrests had been made as a homicide investigation was underway, police said. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
