The Farrell football team lost to Southern Columbia, 43-22 in the Class 2-A State Championship game.
The Tigers end their season with 15 straight wins while the Steelers finish 12-3.
Farrell jumped out to an 8-6 lead in the first quarter after Jadon King-Vincent returned a kickoff 90 yards and Juelz Johnson added the two point conversion.
After that it was all Southern Columbia as they outscored the Steelers 22-0 over the rest of the first half and led 28-8 at half.
The Steelers cut it to 28-14 with 4:32 in the third when Aaron Pegues connected with Johnson for a 15 yard strike. The two point conversion was no good.
Farrell was held to 168 total yards while Southern Columbia ran for 352 yards and had 381 total yards.
