AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - World Series champion provides instruction to young athletes ages 6-13.
Texas Rangers outfielder Evan Carter was in Amarillo Wednesday, collaborating with FlexWork Sports to host an indoor youth baseball camp. The event gave young players the chance to learn from a World Series champion.
Young athletes ranging from ages 6 to 13 participated in the camp. Carter interacted with the youth and answered questions about what it is like being in the major leagues. He worked with the young ball players on all aspects of baseball.
Parents watch instruction from MLB standout
Each age group and community coaches were able to get pictures with Carter. Parents lined the walls, watching their kids receive hands-on instruction from the rising MLB standout.
