ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — It looked like it would be a defensive battle early, and a blocked punt by UGA’s Cole Speer put the Bulldogs in prime position to seize the advantage in Saturday’s 28-7 SEC championship game win over Alabama.
The blocked punt put UGA on Alabama’s 21-yard line, and quarterback Gunner Stockton tossed a 1-yard pass to Roderick Robinson II for the score, giving the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
It was Robinson’s first collegiate reception and touchdown.
