JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The J. Turner Butler Boulevard has been temporarily closed westbound due to a crash close to Belfort Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue told First Coast News that the crash involved two cars in the major roadway on Saturday night. The incident happened shortly after 10 p.m.
According to emergency crews, three adults have been taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Images of the road show that there's heavy car traffic in the area as lanes are closed. One opened temporarily before closing again.
