Federal Border Patrol activity intensified in Kenner on Saturday, as agents conducted operations that drew public attention.
Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino was spotted in Kenner on Saturday afternoon, where a WWL Louisiana camera captured video of him leaving a Circle K on Williams Boulevard. Bovino sat in the back seat of an SUV and did not respond to questions, keeping the window rolled up as agents, state police, and a crowd of onlookers surrounded the vehicle.
Earlier in the day, Tia Maria’s Kitchen, a Honduran-style restaurant in Mid-City, reopened after closing for two days amid federal operations in the area.
