FARGO — Trevian Carson's career night allowed the North Dakota State men's basketball team to overcome a slow start against Northern Arizona on Saturday.
Led by Carson's double-double, the Bison regrouped from an 0-for-8 start from the field and fended off a late Lumberjacks rally for a 69-68 Division I nonconference win before 1,537 fans at Scheels Center inside Sanford Health Athletic Complex.
Carson finished with a team-high 19 points and 12 rebounds — both career highs for the 6-foot-3 junior — as NDSU picked up its seventh victory in eight games.
"Everybody's getting more confident and we're trusting each other more," Carson said. "Everybody is fitting into their roles and being intense with everything that we do."
