The 2025 College Football Playoff selection committee will unveil the final bracket on Sunday, giving fans the definitive look at who will be contending for a national title this year.
As always, the committee's decisions will leave some fans thrilled and some fans deeply frustrated. It's an imperfect process, one that will need major work in the years to come as the sport continues to sort through its postseason competitions.
After Indiana shocked Ohio State in the Big Ten championship game and Duke defeated Virginia in the ACC championship game, we're finally ready to make our final predictions on how this year's CFP field will look.
There won't be many shocks, but we do predict that Miami is left on the outside looking in and Alabama sneaks into that last at-large bid before the last two conference champions claim their spots. We are indeed predicting the ACC gets frozen out, as the five-loss Duke team gives way for Sun Belt winner James Madison to make the field.
We guess the committee will say that Alabama's two losses before Saturday's SEC title game were less problematic than Miami's two losses. Whether or not that is right or wrong is up to you.
Other teams on the outside looking in would include Vanderbilt, BYU and Virginia. We're not exactly sure how accurate this prediction will be, but we have a feeling most of it should hold for Sunday's reveal.
- Indiana
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Texas Tech
- Oregon
- Texas A&M
- Ole Miss
- Oklahoma
- Notre Dame
- Alabama
- Tulane
- James Madison
We'll see what the committee decides to do, and what this year's big controversy will be.
