In Friday's press conference previewing Newcastle's 2-1 win over Burnley, Eddie Howe was asked if Bruno Guimaraes was becoming the club's talisman in front of goal.
Howe laughed before suggesting he would rather he wasn't. After all, Guimaraes is Newcastle's midfield enforcer and it should be the club's forwards and wingers who are coming up with the goods and finding important goals.
But when the Magpies were under the cosh in the first half against Burnley, it was Guimaraes again who came up with the goal to tip the balance of the game in his side's favour.
