The end of an era. The beginning of an error? ‌

Derek McInnes would only be human if, on Hearts’ behalf, he hoped that was the case after Martin O’Neill’s departure from Celtic Park – and Wilfried Nancy ’s introduction. ‌

McInnes would have been encouraged if he’d heard two radio callers’ comments in the immediate aftermath of Nancy’s appointment being confirmed on Wednesday evening. ‌

One said he had “dreaded” the news while the other predicted Nancy would be Celtic ’s version of Russell Martin.
