T he developer of Harvest Grove, a 311-acre mixed-use project with over 1,000 homes and 700 apartments will have to wait until Dec. 16 for a decision by Gilbert Town Council for an up or down vote on its zoning and land-use requests.

Council members last month balked at its density, traffic impacts and inconsistencies with the Santan Character Area plan.

They said Lennar Homes’s plan for the project on the southeast corner of Germann Road and Val Vista Drive contains far too many unresolved issues to move forward.

Several council members urged town staff and Lennar to continue working to resolve them.
