Wolverhampton student Lesley Whittle, from Highley, near Bridgnorth, was just 17 when she was kidnapped from her home on January 14, 1975.

Lesley's mum found her daughter's bed empty when she went to wake her up. In the teenager's place were ransom notes demanding £50,000 and a warning not to involve police.
