At 1:29 a.m. on Sunday, the National Weather Service issued a flood warning valid from Monday 10 p.m. until Wednesday 9:31 p.m. for Clackamas and Multnomah counties.
The weather service adds, "Minor flooding is forecast. There is a 70% chance of reaching moderate flooding, and a 60% chance of reaching major flooding for Johnson Creek at Sycamore."
"Above 11.0 feet, minor flooding begins along Johnson Creek between SE 92nd Street to SE 122nd Street and between Johnson Creek and SE Harold Street," explains the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
