While I typically like to stick to Florida-specific topics for the Question of the Week, some national stories just beg for public input. The increase of US military might being used against suspected narco-terrorists in international waters off the coast of Venezuela is one of them.

Of concern to some is the question of whether the military strikes against boats suspected of carrying drugs toward the US are legal. The issue became even more scrutinized after it was learned that a second round of strikes against a suspected drug boat was ordered, reportedly killing two people who survived the initial strike. Congress wants more information about the operation, especially after it was suggested that killing the two survivors during the Sept. 2 military actions constituted a war crime.
