Police are probing the death of a British youngster killed in an alleged “deliberate” hit-and-run while he was cycling in Tenerife .
The victim, a Liverpool fan identified so far only by his first name of Harry, was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident on Monday evening.
The alarm was raised around 8pm in the municipality of Arona in the south of the holiday island. The victim was cycling on the TF-652 road between Las Chafiras and the fishing village of Las Galletas.
Local reports today described it as a “hit-and-run” and island newspaper El Dia said the Civil Guard were investigating whether the 'British' man had been “murdered”.
It said: “After initial inquiries officers reached the early conclusion that he wasn’t run over by accident.”
