An Ohio woman has taken to social media to explain why she will not be getting her four grandchildren gifts this Christmas .
In a video posted under the handle @tammie_time_ , Tammie Kelton told viewers: "Another Christmas is right around the corner where I will not be buying gifts for my grandchildren.” Pausing for dramatic effect, Kelton added: “You think you hate me, don’t you?” before proceeding to explain the idea behind her stance.
Christmas is an expensive time of year, especially when it comes to any outlay on gifts. 2025 is shaping up to be no different with a Gallup poll finding the average American is set to spend $1007 on gifts this year.
Kelton’s festive spending is likely to be in line with that, but her four grandkids, aged from 10, all the way down to one, won’
