NBC Bay Area, Telemundo 48, and Safeway launch 16th annual ‘Nourishing Neighbors’ holiday hunger campaign

NBC Bay Area / KNTV and Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía / KSTS, in partnership with Safeway, are proud to announce the launch of the , a community effort to combat food insecurity across the Bay Area.

From , shoppers at 167 Safeway stores across Northern California can help make the holidays brighter for local families simply by donating at checkout.

This year, — shoppers can now choose they’d like to donate directly at the pin pad. You can also select preset options of , or round up your total to the nearest dollar.

All proceeds benefit six Bay Area food banks serving 13 Northern California counties, ensuring that every contribution stays local to help neighbors in need.
