OTTUMWA — Unhurried as a winter storm approached , Democratic congressional hopeful Jennifer Konfrst said voters in rural areas like this town deserve her party's attention as Democrats try to flip control of the U.S. House in their favor.
Konfrst, a state representative from Windsor Heights who's looking to oust Republican U.S. Rep. Zach Nunn in the competitive race for Iowa's 3rd Congressional District, held a town hall at Hotel Ottumwa on Saturday, Dec. 6, where she fielded questions from about 20 people.
She touted her legislative track record and efforts to work across party lines as the former Iowa House minority leader as evidence that she would take a pragmatic approach to delivering results for the district.
