MUSKEGON, MI — The mayor of Muskegon is calling for thoughts and prayers after one of the city’s quiet neighborhoods was rocked by a mass shooting.
“Let’s hold the victims, their families, our neighbors, and all the first responders and medical professionals in our hearts, prayers, and thoughts,” Mayor Ken Johnson said in a statement Saturday night. “May our community come together in care for one another, as we navigate these traumatic events, and in pursuit of justice.”
Two people died and three others – including a 4-year-old child – were injured in a shooting Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Jackson Hill neighborhood .
