But here's the part many travelers miss: you can bring a single bottle of wine or champagne, but it must be sealed, and only on embarkation day.

Anything else—beer, spirits, spiked seltzer, or even an opened bottle of wine tucked into luggage—will be confiscated. In several cases, passengers are surprised to discover their alcohol is not just held until the final night, but entirely removed if it doesn't meet policy conditions.
