Two people have died and one person is seriously injured after a transport truck collided with what investigators believe was a rideshare car on Hwy. 400 early Sunday morning.

OPP officers responded to the fatal two-vehicle collision on the northbound lanes of Hwy. 400 approaching Teston Road around 3:45 a.m., OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said in a post on social media.

At the scene, police found a car, which investigators believe was a rideshare vehicle, that had crashed with a transport truck, Schmidt said.

Following the collision, two occupants of the car who were sitting in the back seat were pronounced dead at the scene, Schmidt said, adding the passengers were 30-year-old men from Bradford.
