OXFORD, Miss. (WLBT) - Ole Miss remained at No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, securing the Rebels a playoff birth and first-round home playoff game.
No. 6 Ole Miss will host No. 11 Tulane on December 20 in a regular-season rematch, which the Rebels won 45-10.
It’s a historic day for Ole Miss, officially making it to the school’s first-ever College Football Playoff.
Ole Miss will head into the playoffs with new head coach Pete Golding, who accepted the role after Lane Kiffin’s departure to LSU.
Most of the Ole Miss offensive staff will stay in place during the playoff , even though some will follow Kiffin to Baton Rouge after the Rebels’ playoff run comes to an end.
