A man was arrested after a "group of men" unleashed suspect pepper spray during an incident in a parking garage at London's Heathrow Airport on Sunday (December 7), Cmdr. Peter Stevens of London's Met Police confirmed in a statement .

The incident isn't being investigated as an act of terrorism, according to Stevens. Police responded to a report of "multiple people being assaulted" at the parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 at 8:00 a.m. local time.

"A number of people were sprayed with what is believed to be a form of pepper spray by a group of men who then left the scene," the department said in its statement.

The suspect detained wasn't immediately identified, but is still reported to be in custody on suspicion of assault, according to police.
