The M48 Severn Bridge is currently closed in both directions due to strong winds. The closure spreads between junction 2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road Chepstow and junction 1 A403 Aust because of the weather in Wales.

A diversion has been put in place along the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge causing traffic near junction 23 Rogiet. Traffic elsewhere along the M4 is coping well.

A threat to life warning has been upgraded by the Met Office for the start of next week in parts of Wales as many areas have been issued a yellow wind warning.

From Monday at 10pm until 4pm on Tuesday, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Pembrokeshire, Powys and Swansea will experience strong winds that may cause disruption.
