Sierra Hairston is all of that and more.

The area chef is known for her comforting, home cooked meals, noting she’s someone who prefers savory cooking over sweet.

“I am in between casual food and fine dining,” Hairston said of her cooking style. “I am the unique piece right in between, right in the middle.”

Chef Hairston is a Toledo native, and is a two-time culinary school graduate — graduating from the Columbus Culinary Institute at Bradford School in 2013 and attending Owens Community College for culinary arts in 2015. She said she wanted to attend both schools to sharpen her skills, but to also see the difference between the two programs.
