COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is headed back to the College Football Playoff .

The Buckeyes were unveiled as the No. 2 seed during Sunday’s bracket reveal. They earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of No. 7 Texas A&M and No. 10 Miami in the Cotton Bowl.

Kickoff for the contest is slated for 7:30 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 31.

They had been the top-ranked team in every CFP top 25 this season, but they dropped after losing to Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday.
