Alabama football will play Oklahoma in the first round of the College Football Playoff .

The game will be played at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 19 in Norman, Oklahoma. The game will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN.

The Crimson Tide is the No. 9 seed, and the Sooners are the No. 8 seed . The two played in November in Tuscaloosa, and Oklahoma won 23-21.

Both teams will make their first appearances in the 12-team playoff.

Alabama is fresh off a 28-7 loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, but the CFP committee did not penalize the Crimson Tide for it. Alabama was ranked No. 9 before the game as well.
